What option is available in dealing with the auto insurance if no settlement after two years?

You may be out of luck. In order to extend the statute, the only thing you could have done is sue before the 2 yr date. Many summons & complaints come about 2 weeks or a month before the statute runs out. You can contact a lawyer but I would think that it would be too late now & he or she should tell you that.

You should have settled. After the expriation date has passed they have NO obligation to negotiate with you OR a lawyer.
