Burial Insurance
Friendly asked:

I’m thinking of getting life insurance or burial insurance with life for my mom. My mom has major medical issues that is potentially life threatening. Right now if anything were to happen to her, we (me, my brother and sis) wouldn’t be able to totally pay for the funeral. The thing is I’ve come across life insurance and burial insurance with life, which to me sounds the same, but I’m trying to understand which is better for me to be able to keep up with the payments. I know that because of her many illnesses that the payments are higher, but I’d rather have something than nothing at all. If anyone can steer me to something that would be good I’d be greatly appreciative.

hi
I have 6 cats that I raised from infancy, three that I bottle fed and the other three I was there for the delivery of. I’m thinking about getting a life insurance policy, but I’m wondering if it’s worth it. Can my cats be my beneficiaries or is there some way to say that my family is the beneficiary but with stipulations that the money after my burial be used for the care and maintenance of my feline family. These are my children and I want to know that they will be taken care of in the case of something happening to me.

I don’t even know why I have this policy. The premiums are steep. It seems to be part of my portfolio. I don’t want to make the premiums anymore. What will happen if I don’t pay them?
And these funds aren’t earmarked for burial purposes.

My 53 year old father is in extremely poor health with heart and lung disease, and is on Disability. He has no life insurance and no savings. When the time comes and he passes on, the expenses will more than likely be mine. I am in my early 30’s and my husband and I are getting by in this economy, but don’t have much at all in savings. Should I look in to burial insurance? What is the best thing for me to do? I know I will be devastated when my dad passes, so I will be in no shape to deal with it then. Please help, I would really appreciate it! Thanks!!

My father died suddenly yesterday. He is a vet and he recieved disability checks. He had no life insurance I have no family that is going to help me with the funeral expenses. I think that he is elegable for va burial assistance, but I am just wondering who do I contact first and how do I go about starting the planning? Do I start calling to va and ss first? Or do I first start trying to locate a funeral home and explain to them my financial limits? Any sincere help would be deeply appreciated.
