Burial Insurance
Friendly asked:

I’m thinking of getting life insurance or burial insurance with life for my mom. My mom has major medical issues that is potentially life threatening. Right now if anything were to happen to her, we (me, my brother and sis) wouldn’t be able to totally pay for the funeral. The thing is I’ve come across life insurance and burial insurance with life, which to me sounds the same, but I’m trying to understand which is better for me to be able to keep up with the payments. I know that because of her many illnesses that the payments are higher, but I’d rather have something than nothing at all. If anyone can steer me to something that would be good I’d be greatly appreciative.

My brother got laid off right before his benefits kicked in, he has gone to the dermatologist once to have a mole on his back looked at, the doctor told him it looked pretty bad and he needed to have a biopsy done, but in her opinion it looked like melanoma. Now he has no money or insurance and he is a convicted felon so I dont know if he can get medicaid.

Pretty much, my whole family has passed on. My father and brother’s headstone was covered by the Veteran’s Administration, as will mine be. My grandmother’s burial insurance covered hers but my mother doesn’t have one yet. I haven’t been able to afford one and someone suggested I could make one. I’m somewhat of a sculptor so it wouldn’t be a problem to chisel one out of marble or granite. Is this strange?
